Close to 15 years ago I was interested in shirt making. Many hours were spent on Youtube doing extensive research, slowly gathering materials. Including a few handmade screens and a homemade press later on.
After gaining some confidence, in 2007 I took the plunge into silk screen printing. The first shirt I printed was in my brother's kitchen.
The printing setup migrated to the garage and the screen burning process moved to the laundry room.
Eventually, friends were commissioning me to make the shirts. Serigraph Monotone was born.
Shortly after I made a few designs and started selling on Etsy. More custom orders started to trickle in.
